Inspired by the rich history of ancient Greece, the Amphora Pendant necklace is a wearable piece of history and an ode to one of the most iconic vessels of antiquity. Amphoras were used for centuries to store and transport wine, oil, and other treasures across the Mediterranean. Handcrafted in Cyprus from premium 925 sterling silver and plated in 14ct gold, each pendant is cast using the ancient lost-wax method and finished by hand, ensuring no two are ever alike.

CARE & MAINTENANCE

925 STERLING SILVER:

  • Avoid Moisture: While it's generally safe to shower with 925 sterling silver, it's not recommended for long-term maintenance of the jewellery's shine and appearance

  • Keep it in a cool, dry, and dark place: ideally in an airtight container or anti-tarnish pouch

925 STERLING SILVER + GOLD PLATED:

  • Avoid Moisture: Remove jewellery before swimming, showering, or washing hands. 

  • Steer Clear of Chemicals: Perfumes, lotions, hairspray, and cleaning agents can damage the gold plating and tarnish the silver underneath. Apply these products before putting on your jewellery. 

  • Keep it in a cool, dry, and dark place: ideally in an airtight container or anti-tarnish pouch.

Each of our pieces is crafted using the ancient technique of lost-wax casting. This method involves creating a wax model of the design, which is then encased in a mold; once the wax is melted away, molten metal is poured in to form the final piece. Lost-wax casting has been used for thousands of years, dating back to at least 3700 BCE, making it one of the oldest known methods of metalwork in human history.
