Cretan Coin Pendant - Gold
Inspired by the mysterious symbols of ancient Crete, this pendant pays homage to one of the earliest writing systems in Europe. Cretan hieroglyphs, first used around 2100 BC, remain partly undeciphered, adding to their timeless intrigue. Handcrafted in the mountains of Cyprus by skilled artisans, each piece is formed from premium 925 sterling silver, plated in luminous 14k gold and brought to life using the ancient method of lost-wax casting. Finished entirely by hand, no two pieces are ever the same—each piece carries its own unique character, much like the ancient symbols that inspired them.
All pendants come with a 16" sterling silver gold plated chain necklace
Materials: 925 sterling silver, 14ct gold plated

CARE & MAINTENANCE
925 STERLING SILVER:
- Avoid Moisture: While it's generally safe to shower with 925 sterling silver, it's not recommended for long-term maintenance of the jewellery's shine and appearance
- Keep it in a cool, dry, and dark place: ideally in an airtight container or anti-tarnish pouch
925 STERLING SILVER + GOLD PLATED:
- Avoid Moisture: Remove jewellery before swimming, showering, or washing hands.
- Steer Clear of Chemicals: Perfumes, lotions, hairspray, and cleaning agents can damage the gold plating and tarnish the silver underneath. Apply these products before putting on your jewellery.
- Keep it in a cool, dry, and dark place: ideally in an airtight container or anti-tarnish pouch.

Each of our pieces is crafted using the ancient technique of lost-wax casting. This method involves creating a wax model of the design, which is then encased in a mold; once the wax is melted away, molten metal is poured in to form the final piece. Lost-wax casting has been used for thousands of years, dating back to at least 3700 BCE, making it one of the oldest known methods of metalwork in human history.
